Four Members of Nonprofit First Finalists in 12^th Annual Ascension Awards

Four members of Nonprofits First are finalists for the Nonprofit of the Year at the 12^th Annual Ascension Awards presented by the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County.

The prestigious awards will be presented on Feb. 10 at the 12th Annual Ascension Awards Program Dinner at Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.

We asked the finalists to explain what the recognition means to them.

“It’s truly an honor to be nominated by the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, as they have served as the hub for emerging and established black entrepreneurs, who continue to partner with us in our mission to create thriving communities.”

“This nomination reflects the dedication and tireless efforts of our volunteers, board members, and everyone involved in promoting early childhood literacy and the importance of reading. Our gratitude extends to the sitting elected officials, community leaders, and education stakeholders who have supported us along the way.”

“To be nominated for this prestigious award allows our organization to shine light, by raising advocacy and awareness in underserved communities. As a 12-year breast cancer survivor and Executive Director of (TPQF), we deeply value this honor of recognition from the PBC Black Chamber.”
