Nonprofits First honors the recent graduates of its Rising Leaders program.

Nonprofits First is proud to announce the successful graduation of its Rising Leaders program participants.

This transformative eight-month experience equips emerging talent with the skills needed to equip emerging talent into the sector’s new generation of leaders. The graduation ceremony took place at The Beach Club in Lake Worth Beach, where Rising Leaders showcased their service-learning projects. Lake Worth Beach Mayor Betty Resch welcomed the graduates and congratulated them on their accomplishments and contributions to the nonprofit community.

About Rising Leaders

The Rising Leaders program empowers aspiring leaders to make a significant impact in the nonprofit sector. Participants engage in a comprehensive curriculum that covers critical leadership skills, including emotional intelligence, communication, negotiation, and project management. Through panel discussions, group exercises, and stimulating activities, Rising Leaders foster interaction, discovery, and servant leadership.

Service-Learning Projects

As part of their commitment, Rising Leaders collaborated on service-learning projects benefiting local charitable and civic organizations. These projects exemplify the Rising Leaders’ commitment to driving positive change within their agencies and the broader community. This year, the following projects were completed:

  1. Hispanic Human Resource Council (HHRC): Data collection methodology and tracking of alumni and currently enrolled children and families
  2. Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County: Career readiness assessment, interest application, and program evaluation
  3. Els for Autism: Inclusive volunteer handbook and outreach plan to recruit new youth volunteers
  4. Palm Beach County Behavioral Health Coalition: Comprehensive board manual to heighten community effectiveness
  5. People of Purpose: Brand guide and marketing plan to recruit participants and partners
